Frequently Asked Questions
Who are the performers who make up The Original Dickens Carolers?
Our Christmas carolers are all local professional singers. Many are musical theater performers who are often seen at venues like the Arvada Center, Town Hall Arts Center, Miners Alley Playhouse, Denver Center for the Performing Arts, and many more. Others sing in bands and choirs throughout the region.
How many singers can I hire?
Our carolers come in quartets singing wonderful four-part harmonies. Four distinct characters: Felicity the lovely soprano, Pip the fun-loving alto, Sebastian the dashing tenor, and the Governor is the “man-in-charge” bass.
What happens at a performance?
Always animated and interactive, our carolers perform a variety of Christmas songs, both sacred and secular. We can perform a featured show, stroll through your holiday event or shopping center, or be used for background music. Our songs are fully memorized and we also have three short, fun holiday stories: A Visit from St. Nicholas (Twas the Night Before Christmas), and The Boy Who Laughed at Santa Claus, and A Christmas Carol, abridged.
Where can I see The Original Dickens Carolers perform?
The Original Dickens Carolers and Absolute Noel will be spreading holiday cheer with favorite Christmas carols all over Colorado this holiday season.
In addition to numerous private parties and corporate events, you’ll also find us on select dates at Larimer Square, Union Station, Streets at Southglenn, Village at the Peaks, Tiny Village at Northfield, Georgetown Christmas Market, Arapahoe and Douglas County libraries, and more. See our Facebook page for updated public performance dates and times.
What do the carolers wear for performances?
The Original Dickens Carolers wear beautiful traditional Victorian costumes for the majority of events. Absolute Noel wears contemporary outfits, either evening wear or a fun daytime look.
